How do I book an appointment?
Please see the how to book an appointment section
When are appointment times available?
Appointment times are very flexible and available from early morning to late evening and weekends.
How quickly can I be seen?
We aim to offer you an appointment within 24-48 hours. It may often be possible for you to be seen the very same day.
What do I need to provide?
All we ask is that there is a space available for us to put up a mobile therapy bed which is sometimes needed for treatments.
If you have any scans, reports or letters these could be very helpful in telling us about your problem and past treatments.
Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
No, you do not need to be referred by your doctor. Physiotherapists are independent professionals that assess and treat autonomously. Your doctor may recommend that you need to see a physiotherapist for your condition.
How long are appointments?
Your first appointment is normally a little longer to ensure we make a thorough assessment of your problem. This will include some questions about your problem (for example, when it started or how it affects you in daily life), a physical assessment and some treatment. This may take up to 45 - 60minutes. Each session after this will last 30 - 40 minutes.
How many treatments will I need?
It is difficult to say how many treatments you might need, as every condition and person is different. Your physiotherapist will be able to advise you what your treatment will involve and how long it will take after their assessment.
What should I wear for an appointment?
In order to fully assess your problem, it is normal for physiotherapists to ask you to undress so that the part of the body causing concern can be fully viewed. Suitable underwear should be worn, and we also recommend light comfortable clothing as you may be asked to complete some physical tasks. If you have any concerns about this, please let us know when making the appointment.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made by PayPal, cheque or cash.
If via PayPal, payment is required prior to the start of the session. You can use PayPal to pay via Credit or Debit card. A cheque guarantee card will be required for all payments by cheque.
Am I covered by my medical insurance?
The Mobile Physio is recognised by most insurance companies. You will need to check with your insurance company prior to starting treatment as most health insurers have different procedures for payment. We are happy to assist you with this process if needed.
I am not happy with the service I received, who can I talk to?
We aim to provide the highest possible standards so you can get a first class physiotherapy service where you need it. If you are not happy with the service you have received, please do not hesitate to email or call us and we will aim to resolve your concerns as soon as possible.
Can you treat my employees?
Yes, we can arrange for a physiotherapist to run a clinic at your business to treat your staff. Musculoskeletal problems (particularly back pain) are the biggest cause of sickness absence and loss of revenue to businesses in the UK . We can help get staff back to work quicker and help to prevent further absence.
What records do we keep?
We take your confidentiality very seriously. All sessions are documented and these are kept secure with your personal details so that only physiotherapists working for The Mobile Physio have access. Under the Data Protection Act, you are entitled to request to see any records we keep about your care.
